The Problem
Online courses are passive. You watch videos and forget 90% within a week. OpenMAIC creates AI teachers with distinct styles, AI classmates who debate, interactive whiteboards, and project-based assignments — all from a single topic description. Validated with 700+ students at Tsinghua University over 2 years.
Our Setup
We gave OpenMAIC three business topics: n8n automation, AI agents for managers, building APIs without coding. 10 real users went through each course. We measured completion rate, quiz scores, and post-course application ability.
What We Expected
High engagement due to novel format. Completion rates above the typical 5-15% MOOC average. Mixed learning outcomes — AI teacher should handle facts well but may struggle with nuanced practical advice.
